Abstract
- Several recent developments make CAM a timely and interesting topic for fruitful discussion. First, several important sociological papers were published on the topic recently, which address CAM use among immigrants, focusing on acculturation (Su et al. 2008), CAM use in minority and aging populations (Grzywacz et al. 2007), and on frequency of use among Taiwanese adults in Taiwan (Shih et al. 2008). Second, the National Center for Health Statistics recently released the 2007 NHIS data, which include a CAM supplement. This will provide the impetus for discussion of future research directions and use of the 2002 and 2007 NHIS CAM Supplements. ..PAT.-Unpublished Manuscript [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
