Social Value Orientations in Exchange.

We merge two separate and well established areas of sociological research: 1) network exchange theory, which seeks to predict the outcomes of social action in social structures, and 2) social value orientations that are preferences for outcome distributions between self and other. We present predictions for exchange relations in which different combinations of social value actors create different mixed motive exchanges.
