Sektion Soziologie des Körpers und des Sports.

The article reports on three 2009 conferences of the Sociology of the Body and Sports Section of the German Society for Sociology (DGS). The meetings included one held in March at the University of Koblenz, Koblenz, Germany, titled "Body Knowledge," one called "Embodying the Nation: Body, Culture and Collective Emotions" held in May at the University of Hamburg, and a third held in Cologne in October on research in the sociology of sports.
