Abstract
- The article focuses on the collaboration of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and ASTM International to ensure the safety of a child through product standardization. It states that the ASTM F963, the Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety has become a mandatory standard for toy safety improvement. Further, executive director Mike Dwyer of Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association says that the CPSC-ASTM process worked well with regards to regulating product standards.
