Abstract
- The article discusses the legal concept of eviction in California. In an eviction case, the landlord has no right to physically evict a tenant. It is the job of a sheriff or marshall to order a tenant to evict a property or forcibly remove them under a court order. A landlord should obtain an unlawful detainer judgment by filing an eviction lawsuit against the tenant. One major reason for evicting a tenant is illegal drug dealing. Local ordinances pertaining to evictions vary in certain cities in the state.
