Abstract
- The article presents a profile of the career of tenor Wolfgang Gratschmaier, who sings both operetta and opera roles at the Volksoper opera house in Vienna, Austria. It discusses his love for the operetta genre and the roles he has sung in operettas such as "Csárdásfürstin" by composer Emmerich Kálmán and operas such as "Turandot" by composer Giacomo Puccini. Also discussed is his venture into directing a production of an early work by composer Richard Wagner, "Rienzi."
