Abstract
- The article looks at library closings in Great Britain, focusing on the service review of the library system of Northumberland, England, written by Sue Charteris under the orders of the Museums, Libraries & Archives Council. Charteris' criticism of confusing aspects of library budgets is reviewed. The author comments on how the Northumberland library system has been underfunded for so long that it cannot meet the needs of users.
