Abstract

The article reports on the move by Fonterra general manager Alex Duncan to challenge comments made by former Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF) official Peter Fraser concerning the merits of trading among farmers (TAF) in New Zealand in April 2011. TAF will raise new capital and provide investment choices to farmers, according to Duncan. He argued that the dividend is not related to the so-called liquidity premium. He added that TAF would improve the management of redemption risk.
