Leisure studies: the road ahead.

The article discusses the challenges in leisure studies. Some challenges mentioned by the author include decrease in funding for leisure studies programmes, limited funding for leisure research and lack of financial support for public leisure services which are caused by failure among scholars to publicly share information about leisure. Strategies to overcome these problems such as expansion into other disciplines and practices, and exploitation of current social concerns are suggested.
