Abstract

The article reports on the impact of the series of floods on dairy farmers in Golden Bay, New Zealand. According to the author, three major floods hit the area within a period of five months from 2010 to 2011 and resulted in damaged farms and lost revenues. Farmers stated that the volume of water in each succeeding flood was worse than the last and higher than the usual levels they experienced in the past. They also revealed that the lesson they learned from the disaster.
