Abstract
- The article discusses a study on the microstructure and performance of butt joints produced using UNS S32750 and S32760 superduplex stainless steels (SDSS). It is said that solid state friction stir welding (FSW) could minimize the possibility that the thermal property of SDSS will compromise the material's balanced microstructure. The joints were subjected to miscrostructural characterization, mechanical and corrosion performance testing, and metallographic analyses.
