Abstract

The article presents a study on the application of stable isotope dilution gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC-TOFMS) procedure to determine niacin in rice. It mentions the significance of determining niacin in biological samples to evaluate their nutritional conditions. It describes the said analytical method to quantify niacin with the use of D4-nicotinic acid as an internal standard (IS).
