Detection of Salmonella in Seafood with BAX - PCR.

The article offers information on a study which evaluated the BAX-polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for screening Salmonella spp. in seafood. It describes in detail the materials and methods used in the study. It briefly describes the traditional technique of identifying Salmonella contamination in seafood. Findings showed that Salmonella tested positive in ten samples collected from fish landing centers, primary markets and frozen fish from processing plant.
