Abstract
- The influence of rock mass and grouted material on the pullout strength of grouted bolt foundation in jointed rock masses is analyzed by the orthogonal numerical simulation. The numerical models focus on the following five factors: elasticity modulus of rock, elasticity modulus of mortar, trace lengths and joint inclination angle in rock mass, embedding depth of the bolt in the rock mass on four different levels of every factor. The experimental results reveal that the embedding depth of the bolt in the rock mass is the most important and sensitive factor influencing the pullout strength of grouted bolt foundation, and the factors next are elasticity modulus of mortar, elasticity modulus of rock, trace lengths and joint inclination angle in rock mass. The elasticity modulus and strength of mortar are more significant than those of rock mass in improvement of the pullout strength of the grouted bolt foundation, but the extent of the improvement is limited.
