The canon Francisco de Velasco was dismissed by Chapter and Archbishop of Santiago in 1578 for his proven malpractice in performing his job as Kapellmeister. Velasco's appeal and subsequent litigation have allowed us to access to several testimonies about the love life of the canon and children had with several nuns. His expulsion from the Chapter proves a mentality change regarding sexual behavior of clergy, coinciding with reformist attitude of archbishop Francisco Blanco in the archdiocese of Santiago de Compostela.
