Abstract

The article presents information on the sericulture or silk farming industry in Andhra, Pradesh along the Bay of Bengal India. According to the author, sericulture along the coastal zone is free from uzi infestation and muscardine disease. It notes that sericulture started to reach its zenith before 1995 when it was spread in more than 15000 acre. Production trends in Coastal Andhra Pradesh are discussed.
