Study on the Model of Home-based Community Caring for the Elderly.

With the rapid aging of China's population, economic reshuffling and social transformation, the model of home-based community care has emerged accordingly, which combines the advantages of family-supporting systems and nursing houses. Together with the income security system, the new model is an indispensable part of the social security system for the aged and it will become a main pattern of caring for the elderly in the future. Based on an analysis of several typical models, this paper probes into the hidden problems and puts forward several measures of as well as proposals on the sustainable development of the home-based community caring model from the perspectives of responsibility sharing, designing principles of multi-tiered development and supporting, as well as some technical solutions including integrating resources, expanding financing channels and improving professional skills.
