Abstract
- The article presents a study on the destruction of hard-coral communities of Qeshm Island, Iran at the side of the Persian Gulf. The study, which covered two main coral sites such as in the south (SHD) and in the southeast (SOEA), conducted laboratory and field surveys to measure sea surface temperature, salinity, and sediments. The study revealed that the low abundance of corals in Persian Gulf is due to several factors including temperature changes, oil pollution, and high sedimentation.
