Abstract
- The article offers the author's advice on restaurant valuations in Canada. He discusses the factors to be considered in developing a valuation multiplier which would include but not limit to the capitalization rate of the equity and debt ratios in detailed analysis. He tackles on the two unusual situations that offer good insight on the common mistakes made when assessing a multiplier and finalizing the Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) of the restaurant.
