Abstract

The article offers information on Big Thicket National Preserve located in Texas, for backpacking, canoeing, and kayaking. It is mentioned that only primitive camping is allowed in the preserve as it has no developed camp grounds. Also, the Pitcher Plant Trail goes through pine forest to wetland savannah. The preserve has languid waterways devoid of any rapids and is suitable for canoeing and kayaking. The campers are advised to carry global positioning systems and drinking water.
