Abstract

The article presents information on the U.S. District Court case Horton v. USAA Cas. Ins. Co. in which action against the defendant was brought by the plaintiff who sought claims against the defendant's unfair practices of charging higher costs for medical procedures than it should be. The plaintiff moved for preliminary approval of class settlement agreement. The commonality requirement was held satisfactory by the court, and preliminary approval was warranted, thereby motion was granted.
