Abstract

The article presents a study on the state of research and regulatory regime of diffuse phosphorus (P) and sediment loss for tillage soils. It states that soils with high phosphorus content due to fertilizer overuse have been identified as a landscape threat which impacts water quality. It recommends the use of a multiscaled approach involving a catchment and field-scale monitoring coupled with laboratory and small-plot scale rainfall simulation to identify critical areas.
