Abstract

The article presents a study which analyzes the relationship between initial treatment, repeat revascularization during follow-up, and angina at one year using the Synergy between percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with TAXUS and Cardiac Surgery (SYNTAX) trial population, design and end points. It mentions that the SYNTAX trial involved patients with multivessel coronary disease who were randomized to coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) or PCI with paclitaxel-eluting stents.
