Systems-Based Approaches to Cardiovascular Biomarker Discovery.

The article aims to create advances in the identification of cardiovascular molecular biomarkers. The integration of data arising from different molecular profiling techniques enabling a more detailed and biologically meaningful characterization of putative biomarkers is discussed. Systems approaches guide in the identification of single biomarkers based on a deeper understanding of their underlying biology.
