Abstract
- The article presents a study that determines the effect of agricultural habitats on the life of black-tailed godwits Limosa I. limosa in the south-western part of Friesland, Netherlands. It outlines the method of the study that uses a yardstick to evaluate the changes of the agricultural habitat, as well as groundwater level and vegetation typology to describe the landscape. Furthermore, the study also employs the principal component analysis to summarize the landscape characteristics of the habitat variation. It outlines the result of the study, which indicates that the importance of having herb-rich vegetation to protect the Black-tailed Godwits.
