Abstract
- A chapter of the book "Joyce Studies Annual 2011," edited by Moshe Gold and Philip Sicker is presented. It explores the German translation of Dieter H. Stündel on the novel "Finnegans Wake," by James Joyce. It analyzes Stündel's propensity for muting German allusions in favor of stressing the narrative of the text. It also discusses Stündel's take up of Joyce's Irish-accented English or Dutch-inflected German.
