Abstract: The article proposes a method for simulation of ice loads acting on ship hull based on a combination of a simulation algorithm and generators of pseudo-random numbers. The method is aimed at selecting the theoretical distribution laws for random ice load parameters and estimating the average values of the parameters under consideration. It presents a number of test examples relating to the hull of Samotlor-type ice-going oil tanker.
