Abstract

The article discusses the rules on entitling golfers relief without penalty from casual water, including casual water in a bunker. According to the article, a golfer is entitled to this kind of relief if he has interference to the lie of his ball, his stance or the area of his intended swing. To be afforded relief, a player must drop his ball within one club length of his nearest point of relief but not nearer the hole than that point, and the ball must be dropped in the bunker.
