Abstract

The article discusses a research study on comparing the safety and relative efficacy of sirolimus-eluting stents (SES) and resolute zotarolimus-eluting stents (R-ZES) for patients who have de novo long coronary lesions. Subjects of the multicenter, prospective, randomized trials include 500 patients who have native coronary lesions as compared to those with long SES and R-ZES. Results showed noninferior angiographic outcomes in patients with R-ZES implantation than those with SES implantation.
