Abstract
- The article discusses a study aimed at investigating and standardizing freezing protocol for boar semen using the low cost conventional method. Seventy two sperm rich fractions of boar semen were gathered two times a week by gloved had technique using dummy sow in a sterilized plastic bottle. It suggests that semen of Hampshire and crossbred boars can be successfully frozen with optimum post-thaw motility and viability of spermatozoa with freezing done in 0.5 ml French medium straw.
