Abstract

The article highlights a study which examined the antibacterial action of successive extracts of medicinal plants against Pasteurealla multicoda field isolates. Successive extraction was performed on medicinal plants Leucas aspera, Ocimum sanctum, Vernonia cineria, Syzigium cumini and Polyalthia longifolia. The antibacterial activity of the plant extracts was tested using microtitre plate technique and disc diffusion method. Results of the study revealed the effectiveness of the extracts.
