Abstract

The article presents a study which describes two new bright-eyed treefrog species from the Boophis (B.) guodoti group based on molecular genetics and morphology. It mentions that the specimens were immersed in a solution of MS222 or robutanol, and preserved in 70% ethanol. It notes that the Boophis fayi specie (sp.) exhibits a green outer iris and male lacks supratymnpanic fold while the Boophis popi sp. is characterized with red iris and elevated reticulations on the dorsums. It adds that the species are smaller than those small-to-medium members of B. goudoti group.
