Abstract

The article discusses the different layers that make up an atom. The electrons go around the nucleus in layers. They can jump from layer to layer if a force effects them. Every atom has a different amount of electrons. This number is the charge of the atom. Niehls Bohr developed a theory called the Quantum Theory in 1913. In 1932 scientists discovered that neutrons are inside the nucleus with the protons. Neutrons have no charge.
