Abstract

The article discusses the state of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) since the U.S. troop's withdrawal in Iraq and drawdown in Afghanistan. USAID had been rendering international development services in Iraq and Afghanistan like reconstruction assistance, though its role was replaced by the Commander's Emergency Response Programs of the U.S. Department of Defense. The USAID is led by Administrator Rajiv Shah, as it continues its collaboration with the Afghan Health Ministry.
