A PCR Based Survey of Babesia ovata in Cattle from Various Asian, African and South American Countries.

The article discusses a study that examined bovine DNA samples originating from various countries across Asia, Africa and South America using the Apical membrane antigen 1 (AMA-1) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay. An overview of the Babesia ovata as an intraerythrocytic protozoan parasite of cattle is presented.
