Abstract
- The article explores the ability of serum glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) concentration as a diagnostic market for canine central nervous systems disorders. Topics discussed include the collection of sera from dogs with various CNS and non-CNS disorders measured for GFAP using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit, and the elevated serum GFAP concentrations observed in necrotizing meningoencephalitis (NME).
