Abstract
- Highlights: [•] Experimental measurement of reactive surface area of the minerals. [•] Monte Carlo uncertainty analysis to elaborate the importance of surface area. [•] Sequestered CO<subscript>2</subscript> as a mineral (SMCO<subscript>2</subscript>) varied between 3 and 9kg/m<superscript>3</superscript> of medium. [•] SMCO<subscript>2</subscript> increased 80% by increasing the surface area of quartz by a factor of 3. [•] Dawsonite precipitation showed dependency on kaolinite and K-feldspar dissolution.
