Abstract

In this article, the author discusses a research related to the characterization of a glycoside hydrolase family 31 ɑ-glucosidase involved in utilization of starch in Podospora anserina. Topics discussed include transglycosylation, heterologous expression in Pichia pastoris, and Podospora anserina is a filamentous fungus belonging to the class of ascomycetes. Other topics discussed include organism used in biological investigations including aging, and cell differentiation.
