COMPARISON OF TWO ANALYZERS TO DETERMINE SELECTED VENOUS BLOOD ANALYTES OF QUAKER PARROTS ( MYIOPSITTA MONACHUS).

The article presents a study which was focused on analyzing the use of various chemicals in the medical care of avian species including electrolyte, hemoglobin, hematocrit and venous blood gas. Various factors analyzed in the study includes its effect on gender, time lag between sample analysis and cartridge expiration. iSTAT and IRMA TruPoint are two blood gas analysis systems that were conducted during the study.
