Abstract
- The article presents a simulation experiment on power cable dynamics for moored ocean observation platforms. The simulation aims to determine how a large underwater power cable connecting an ocean surface platform to a seafloor technology would react to marine conditions prior to design and deployment. It talks about the use of OBSEA, an existing platform in Spain's Catalan coast, and the results including information on oscillatory behavior and curvature variation along the dynamic cable.
