Abstract
- The article discusses a study which shows the role of down-regulated miR-15a in mediating the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) in renal tubular epithelial cells promoted by high glucose (HG). The researchers identified the down-regulation of miR-15a which was accompanied with the HG-induced EMT. The study indicates the possible role of the weakening regulation on the AP4 expression by miR-15a in HG-induced EMT in renal tubular epithelial cells.
