Abstract

The article presents a study of four subtypes of non-IgE-mediated gastrointestinal food allergies in infants and neonates. It says that the normal level of blood eosinophils is 0% to 4% however it rises to a specific level in the neonatal period particularly in low-birth-weight infants. In addition, it mentions that main symptoms of patients in cluster 3 were diarrhea and poor weight gain which were similar in patients with enteropathy.
