Abstract
- The article discusses the role of silk in traditional Asian paintings and a study on the effect of light exposure in museums on silk. Topics include details on the structure of paint silk, details on silk's role in undergoing the process called Agyo-po-su before being applied to a painting, details on the process of conversation of dyed silk, details on researchers comparison of hand-woven silk to historical silk, mention of the use of japonica fruits to dye silk, and details on the use of silk dye to conserve paintings.
