Measurement of pulmonary wedge pressure by the flow directed Swan-Ganz catheter

<$O_ST_ABS>AUTHORS SYNOPSIS<$C_ST_ABS>Forty patients were studied by the Swan–Ganz flow directed catheter and the wedge pressure was shown to be identical with that obtained by a Cournand and correlated well with the direct left atrial pressure. It is confirmed that the technique is both simple and rapid.
