Abstract

The decay ofB mesons into the baryonsp, ? and?<superscript>-</superscript> has been studied. The measured inclusive branching ratios for these decays are Br(B?p X) =(8.2±0.5<subscript>-1.0</subscript><superscript>+1.3</superscript>)%, Br(B??X)=(4.2±0.5±0.6)% and Br(B??<superscript>-</superscript>X)<0.51% at the 90% confidence level. In addition investigations onp <img src="/fulltext-image.asp?format=htmlnonpaginated&src=G2208WX68311K540_html\10052_2005_Article_BF01557656_TeX2GIFIE1.gif" border="0" alt=" $$\bar p$$ " />, and? <img src="/fulltext-image.asp?format=htmlnonpaginated&src=G2208WX68311K540_html\10052_2005_Article_BF01557656_TeX2GIFIE2.gif" border="0" alt=" $$\bar p$$ " /> and? <img src="/fulltext-image.asp?format=htmlnonpaginated&src=G2208WX68311K540_html\10052_2005_Article_BF01557656_TeX2GIFIE3.gif" border="0" alt=" $$\bar \Lambda $$ " /> correlations were performed, yielding an approximately equal rate of protons and neutrons. From this one can derive a total baryonic branching ratio Br(B?baryons) of (7.6±1.4)%.
