Abstract

CobaltII radical complexes with centric and acentric counter anions, [CoClbisimpyMeOH2]X [bisimpy = 2,6bis4′,4′,5′,5′tetramethyl4′,5′dihydro1′Himidazol1′oxyl2′ylpyridine; X = PF61, and ClO42], crystallize in the centrosymmetric and polar space groups, respectively. Compound 1is paramagnetic, whereas spin canting in 2leads to a metamagnetic transition with a critical field of 1300 Oe at 1.8 K. © WileyVCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2008
