Abstract

Synthesis of new 64chlorophenylperhydro1,3diazepine2,4diones was accomplished starting from 4amino34chlorophenylbutyric acid Baclofen. The chemical pathway involved the cyclisation of various 34chlorophenyl4ureidobutyric acids. However, none of the new derivatives retained the anticonvulsant activity of their sixmembered ring homologues, belonging to the phenylpyrimidinedione series which we recently described.
