Abstract
- Hemangioendothelioma (angiosarcoma) of the breast is a rare tumor. Mackenzie,8 while describing one case, could trace reports of only 20. No case report has appeared in the subsequent literature, and an addition to the series already published should be worth while. REPORT OF CASE In October, 1961, a 32-year-old para V sought medical advice in the Professor of Surgery's unit about a diffuse swelling of her right breast. She had discovered it six months earlier when she was in the seventh month of pregnancy. The mass increased rapidly in size after the full-term normal delivery. She suckled her baby normally on both breasts for one month, but had to give up subsequently because of pain on the right side. During this period she also developed unproductive cough. CLINICAL EXAMINATION. —On clinical examination, the right breast showed diffuse enlargement. The covering skin was bluish-red and glossy; the veins were prominent,
