Abstract
- The Sr<subscript>3</subscript>LnInSnO<subscript>8</subscript> (Ln = La, Pr, Nd) layered perovskites were synthesized and their structures have been determined by X-ray powder diffraction. Luminescence properties of the synthesized polycrystalline compounds Sr<subscript>3</subscript>PrInSnO<subscript>8</subscript> and Sr<subscript>3</subscript>NdInSnO<subscript>8</subscript> were investigated. Photoluminescence spectra of Sr<subscript>3</subscript>PrInSnO<subscript>8</subscript> substantially depend on excitation wavelength unlike Sr<subscript>3</subscript>NdInSnO<subscript>8</subscript> compound. The correlations between peculiarities of the crystal structures and photoluminescence properties have been discussed.
