XML – EDIFACT Translation in EDIPA System

EDIPA is an acronym of Electronic Data Interchange in Port Administration of a project No 977076 funded partially by the European Commission under framework of INCO-COPERNICUS program 1998. The EDIPA project objectives concern the automation and the amelioration of the business transactions between the port authorities, providing a network that solves transportation problems of the current state and practice of the port administrations. An implementation of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system is under way which automates and performs paperless transactions used between clearance house, Port Authorities, customers to monitor/supervise the traffic products imported and/or exported.
